Meteorite Falls In Russian Urals Chelyabinsk Region

Since I was a kid, I have been fascinated by meteorites and UFO's. Earlier today in central Russia, a meteorite shot across the sky and sent fireballs crashing towards earth. Over 400 people were reported injured and countless windows was smashed from the shockwave.

A week ago I read an article about an asteroid that will pass the Earth today. It's supposed to be closer than any asteroid in recent time. I'm not sure if this is the same asteroid. It'll be interesting to see what NASA has to say.
