Hong Kong Disneyland Day 3 - 5th Anniversary of Hong Kong Disneyland

Welcome to Day 3 and the final day of our Disneyland trip. If you've missed part 1 and 2, click here to read Day 1 and here for Day 2!

As mentioned, this was our third and final day in Hong Kong. Three days flew by way too fast!!! It’s like that when you’re having fun. In our case, we were having too much fun. We decided that a good way to end our stay at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel was to have breakfast at the Enchanted Garden. Besides the all you can eat buffet, your favourite Disney characters walk from table to table ensuring everyone has an opportunity to take pictures with them. Here are some of the characters we met while having breakfast…

Because we missed Lightning McQueen “LIVE!” on the second day thanks to the rain, we made sure to visit Disneyland again. Lightning McQueen “LIVE!” is part of Hong Kong Disneyland’s Rev Up Your Summer Fun. It’s on from now till August 31st and there are lots of fun activities for adults and children.

My son loves Cars and with Cars 2 coming out in theaters soon, we knew that he'll love to meet Lightning McQueen. As we attended the 1.30pm show, we had to endure the blazing heat for quite a bit. But it was worth all the perspiration when Lightning McQueen “LIVE!” started!

Sadly, we had to leave Disneyland. It was an unforgettable experience to say the least. Everyone at Disney was so nice to my son. When I see Drayden smile, I become the happiest man alive. A big thank you to the cast members that piled my son with stickers throughout the three days we were with you.

To leave Disneyland, we took the MTR Disneyland Resort Line to Tung Chung MTR Station. It’s a short ride and they have a mall called Citygate Outlets. If you love shopping, you’ll love this mall. Citygate is home to more than 80 international brand names. All of them offer 30% to 70% discount all year round! To view a complete list of shops, boutiques and restaurants in Citygate, click here.

We settled for late lunch at Food Republic. Before you say anything…I just wanna say this. The variety of food and the standard at this Food Republic is way better compared to what we are used to here in Singapore.

My steak cost HK$64.00. That's S$10!!! And it was good!!!!

That's the cable car in the far distance...

I can't wait to visit Hong Kong and Disneyland again. It was such a joy to visit this country and I’ll recommend Disneyland to anyone (single, married, parents, etc…) If all goes well, we'll make this a yearly holiday! I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
