2012 - Is The World Coming To An End?

This question may have crossed your mind recently. After all we've seen Mother Nature wreck havoc and the aftermath of destruction she's left behind.. Over two weeks ago, a 9.0 magnitude earthquake struck Japan and the world watched in horror as a large tsunami took apart everything in it's path. Just last night a 6.9 magnitude quake hit Myanmar near the border of Thailand. As I write this post, I don't know the severity of this quake but Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam will be in my prayers tonight.

These are some natural disasters that have occurred in the 21st century...

26 January 2001:  Gujarat Earthquake (India) - 19,727 lives lost
26 December 2003:  Bam earthquake (Iran) - 26,271 lives lost
Summer of 2003:  European Heat Wave - 40,000 lives lost
26 December 2004:  Indian Ocean Tsunami - 230,210 lives lost
May 2008: Cyclone Nargis - 138,000 lives lost (it is reported that they stopped updating the death-toll to minimize political fallout.)
12 January 2010: Haiti Earthquake - 222,570 lives lost
Summer of 2010: Russian Heat Wave - 56,000 lives lost
2010-2011: Queensland Floods - 35 lives lost and over A$1 billion in damages.
22 February 2011: Christchurch Earthquake (New Zealand) - at least 166 lives lost.

With these natural disasters along with the fact that over 25 million people have died from AIDS and the unnecessary fighting that's going on around the world, can you blame someone for thinking that the world might just end in 2012?!

Heck if you believe in UFO's, you'll be pretty darn sure that something big is gonna happen soon. For those of you that aren't big on UFO's, the number of sightings this year alone has been phenomenal! Take China for instance. The country is buzzing with UFO sightings and some sightings have made it to their national news broadcast. Bear in mind that this is a country where the government is said to have control over their news agencies.

I honestly believe that the world will not come to an end in 2012. Instead, it will be a start of a new chapter. I don't know what this new chapter has in store for us but I can only hope that it will be good.

What's happening right now is that many of us are seeing things in a different light. A good friend calls this the 'awakening of our senses'. What was right once before may suddenly be wrong. Or some of us may stand up and say "I don't believe in this and I want things to change NOW!". Look at the current situation in the Middle East. Who would have thought these people would oppose their rulers and governments?

With everything that's going on, many of us will find ourselves praying harder than ever before. I personally don't have a religion but I'm praying each and every night. I don't know why but it just feels like the right thing to do. Get what I mean? One of the things I pray for is for the world to find love some day soon. The wars have to stop and we humans need to learn to live with one another. Correction, we need to learn to LOVE one another regardless of race or religion. It sounds so simple but we can't even get that right!

So my friends, I hope I didn't bore you with this post. If you read word for word, I sincerely thank you. These are some of the issues I've had on my mind for the longest time and I figured I should share it with anyone that bothers to read. Always remember to keep your chin up no matter what and we'll see better days in time to come!

  1. I totally feel the same way to bro...... But here's another question to post.

Will it take the world stand together, only against a bigger threat that will strike all of human kind? (Disease, natural disasters, etc)

    If so why wait......

  2. I;m totally with you Noel! BUT if it does come to an end I'm spending the last few months of my life with the people I love and care about. I know a couple of people that are so focussed on the worl ending in 2012 that they are pushing their loved ones away. I'd rather be dead than be the last one standing (without my family) if it ends.

  3. Interesting take on things Noel. I have given up on guessing what will happen. Just when things get better, another bad tragedy happens some where in the world. However your post does makes sense so THANK YOU for messing with my head. HA HA HA!

  4. Literally, the WORLD isn't coming to it's end but the lives for mankind perhaps. It sounds scary, but guess it's payback time for what the people has done to Mother Earth. For how many billions of years that this planet has existed I don't think that it will ever end.

  5. Hey guys, don't forget Jesus Christ still loves you. We nailed him to the cross. He bled to redeem you and the fallen world.

These events are not surprising at all. Consider:

Disregard the plastic preacher, but note the idea that the bible does talk about these things.
