The Nokia X6 – I LIKE!

I have been a loyal fan of Nokia phones for the longest time. Besides losing my E63 a week ago, I still have my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic mobile phone which I totally adore because of it’s touch screen. So when I received an email asking if I was interested in reviewing the brand new Nokia X6, I went ballistic!!! Being one of the first in Singapore to try out this phone was an opportunity I just couldn’t miss out on!

A week ago, I collected the Nokia X6 and both the phone and I have been inseparable ever since. One of the many cool things about this phone is that it comes with a unique pin that gives you unlimited free downloads of your favorite tracks from the Nokia Music Store. We’ve talking thousands of songs available at your fingertips for FREE.

This remarkable phone has 32 GB of internal memory and I went a little crazy downloading music. But hey, it does say on the website that this phone can store 11,000 tracks! If music isn’t your thing, there are thousands of apps you can download from the Ovi Store to personalize your phone!

Well, if you are the clumsy sort or have a child that loves playing with your mobile phone, you’ll love the fact that the X6 has a 3.2” touch screen made from scratch-resistance glass. Ain’t that just awesome? All my phones end up with countless scratches in a matter of months. My phone either gets dropped or I forget my house keys are in that particular pocket! Has that happened to you before?!

I gave the X6 camera a test last night while I was in Orchard Road. After all, the X6 does have a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics. I must say that the pictures turned out better than I’ve seen on any mobile phone.

For those of you that love games, the X6 comes installed with three games. There’s Asphalt4 a racing game, D Mix Tour a DJ role playing game and Spore (nothing to do with Singapore) .

The X6 also comes installed with a Zouk Club application that updates you about their events and you can make a reservation with a few clicks! There is also a Straits Times app where you can read the latest news and a Golden Village app for the movie buffs.

Lastly, in this age and time, social networking sites play a huge role in our lives. The Nokia X6 is a complete social entertainment centre that allows you to connect with Facebook, Twitter and build your own social RSS feed.

Unfortunately, I have to return the X6 to Nokia. I could go on and on about this phone. It’s just so damn good that I am in love all over again. I’m gonna miss this phone and it’s definitely on my shopping list.
