Singapore Tattoo Show 2010 Press Conference
I got back from the Singapore Tattoo Show 2010 press conference at Zouk's Velvet Underground earlier in the evening. Some of the stars of this year's show were on hand to meet the press. I was lucky enough to sit down with Chris Garver and have a short interview. But before we get to that, here are some pictures from the press conference...
From left to right: Kim Saigh, Chris Garver, Bob Tyrrell and Kirby Lian.
Celebrity Jeweller Matt Booth from Room 101
7 time Guinness world record holder Daniel Browning Smith (aka Rubber Boy).
Show ambassador Kim Saigh along with Shawn Barber.
As mentioned in the beginning of this post, I had the opportunity to interview Chris Garver. Man was I blown away. There chilling out with me was this dude that I watched on Miami Ink. I'll tell you this. He is the most friendly celebrity I've met thus far. Really down to earth guy and he liked this Douc Langer (monkey from Vietnam) tattoo I have on my arm that was done by Sah from EZ Tattoo.
I guess it would be an understatement that I was nervous doing this interview. Nonetheless, here is my interview with Chris Garver...
That's so awesome. I hope I'm not out of line by saying I'm so proud of you and everything you're doing! Your little boy is adorable, btw! And I'm really enjoying reading your wife's blog right now and staying distracted from work.

Hahaha! I got lucky when I married you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dina! That means a lot you know?
ReplyDeleteI've got a few more interviews lined up in the next few days. Will also try to get some of them away from their booze later tonight for a short podcast. That's gonna be tough!
Thanks William! One more time you ask for a free ticket, I'm gonna stop talking to you!
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous. Hmm, I didn't do any media interviews last night. Yesterday was dedicated to the stars of the show. Rightfully so I might add...
ReplyDeleteBut I am doing an interview with the Bangkok Post (print) tomorrow morning. I'm also scheduled to guest host on tattooink.tv either tomorrow or the day after. That episode should air internationally by Sunday I think.
Out of curiosity, what made you think I was interviewed by the local media?
I'll be sure to do so! You've got some good tips on there!
ReplyDeleteNot THAT long a way, give yourself some credit :) You've always been pretty imaginative and creative!
ReplyDeleteI saw the ads for this show in the news, and can't help to come in here and have a look, sure enough as expected you are 100% involved in this, and out of expectaions you are blogging for the show!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are doing very well Bro! Impressive! :-D
Heee...Thanks Tabbs!!!
ReplyDeleteIs this Weicyan from D.Storm?
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, thanks man bro. I'm loving every minute at the tattoo convention. It's a pity we're down to the last day. It's seriously been fun and I feel right at home among the rest of the human canvases. :)
Eh! There can be only one Weicyan! (The other is sur-name Loh from Malaysia, Google it you'll see)
ReplyDeleteI'm half jealous and half thrilled for you! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Victoria!
