Surrogates opens in cinemas today!

It’s been roughly two years since I’ve been to the cinema. On Tuesday, I had the privilege of previewing the movie Surrogates at Shaw Lido.

I am not and will probably never be a fan of science fiction movies. What more a movie about robots! However when I watched the trailer of Surrogates, I thought to myself, this is a movie I have to watch. For starters, I like Bruce Willis and most movies that he has starred in has rocked the box office.

In the movie, humans live their lives through robotic surrogates from the comfort of their homes. It’s an ideal world where their surrogates look better than their owners. Think bigger bust lines, six packs, chiselled chins and perfect hair. Yeah, that kinda world!

Anyhow, that ideal world where crime doesn’t exist goes into chaos when the first murder in years is committed. FBI agent Greer (Bruce Willis) is on the case and this leads to a bunch of other murders and one hell of a chase that you have got to see! There are some hilarious bits as well that added a nice touch to the movie.

The awesome thing is, I actually enjoyed the movie. The special effects were realistic and the action scenes kept me on the edge of my seat. I might be wrong here but it sure looked like Bruce Willis didn’t blink at all when he played his robotic surrogate. I thought that was pretty cool.

Surrogates should definitely be in your must-watch movie list!
