SUSPECTING that his wife was unfaithful, the jealous husband wanted revenge and sought his tattooist friend's help.
The moment to teach her a lesson came when the couple had a squabble in the friend's flat, where the woman was staying.
Ganging up with the 41-year-old tattooist, the two men pushed the woman into the bedroom. They then tied her arms and legs to the four corners of a bed, and stuffed and taped her mouth.
The husband then pulled up the wife's blouse and bra and grabbed her breasts while his friend tattooed them. He also tattooed her stomach and forearms.
The woman's ordeal, which took place on Aug 20, 2006, lasted about half an hour. The woman was staying at the tattoo artist's flat because she was estranged from her husband.
On Wednesday, the tattooist was jailed for two years and 10 months, and ordered to be caned six strokes for outraging the woman's modesty.
In sentencing him, District Judge Jill Tan said although he was not the mastermind, the revenge act could not have been carried out without him.
The jail sentence was two months less than what the woman's husband got in 2007.
All the parties could not be named to protect the woman's identity.
