Microwave Chicken Rice

When I'm too lazy to cook, I depend on convenience foods. Convenience foods is simply pre-cooked food. This can range from pizzas to hot dogs to pies. The list goes on and on...

The folks from Singapore Food Delight Manufacturer Pte Ltd have come up with an awesome line of Singapore themed dishes that's ready to serve in minutes. There's Chicken Curry, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Soya Sauce Chicken, Laksa, Mee Pok Dry, Chilli Crab, Pepper Crab and Nasi Briyani. All you have to do is pop the package into the microwave for a few minutes. Simple and Easy!

I had the opportunity to try the Hainanese Chicken Rice. It's pretty darn good.

Here's what it looks like when you remove the outer packaging.

In the microwave...

You can't have chicken rice without chilli right?!

Almost ready to eat...

There you have it! Hainanese chicken rice in minutes!!

These items make great gifts for visiting friends. I'm sure they'll love to bring home a taste of Singapore. I'll bring our Singapore Chilli Crab anywhere. Slurp!

  5. I've always wanted to check out the food stalls at katong shopping centre. somehow, I always end up having laksa a little further down the street.

  6. the chix rice stall owners are a bit strange... if you see uncle... he is nice... if you see his wife.... you will just have to endure some stuff. I normally ask uncle to give me more melon and corn in my soup but aunty is super stingy one... including chilli.....something about the women of that stall.... sigh

  11. Thanks 'anonymous'. Don't have much of a choice about the copyright thingy. I've seen some of my art and pictures on some websites. It ain't nice when folks don't ask for permission.
