National Day Parade 2012 Preview
It's that time of the year where
Singapore throws the biggest birthday party. She turns 47 and she's
looking ever so good! If you are fortunate enough to attend the
National Day Parade (NDP) this Thursday, I assure you are in for a
treat.
Stephanie and myself were privileged to
watch the National Education (NE) NDP Show two weeks ago. We had such
a good time from start to end. It was the first time watching the
parade live and it was an experience we'll remember for a long time
to come. Everything about it was good. From the free falling Red
Lions to funny antics of emcees Suhaimi Yusof and Gurmit Singh to
everyone's favourite fireworks display. Even the ushers were fun
lovin' people!
Here are some photographs from the
parade...
Stephanie and I waiting
for the parade to start...
These people are waiting
too...
The Red Lions! They steal
the show every year!
The Singapore flag flypast
by the RSAF Chinook and Apache helicopters...
The RSAF flypast...
Another flypast...
This ruler which turns
into a I LOVE SG bracelet, is in all the fun packs. More on the fun
packs later in this post...
The start of the show
segment. Lots of pyro and fast tempo music.
Look out for hearts, stars
and cosmic shape fireworks!
Each sector (mine was
yellow) has a unique slogan on the fun pack...
You'll get a flag, torch,
scarf and bandana in the fun pack.
And also these items! A
book, LED clappers, stick-on tattoos, food and drink items.
My NDP pass!
If you missed this video from an
earlier post, it's my 4 minute preview of NDP 2012.
I am extremely proud to be a
Singaporean. This is my home, OUR home. Happy National Day to all of
you and continue to make Singapore a beautiful place to live.
