Ways to Make Money on the Internet

Yep! There are ways to make money online. All you need is a computer, internet connection and a good mind for business. In fact, I met this dude not too long ago that has made the internet his full-time job. He does anything and everything he can on the net. He says he earns SGD$2000.00 a month on average. That's pretty decent right?

Now, you must be asking, why is a bloke that runs a tattoo blog talking about money. Well, no money no honey right? The internet may not necessarily make you rich but it can help pay for some smaller stuff. Say your monthly mobile bill or even a short retreat somewhere near. I am NOT an expert in this field but I'm gonna share what I know.

Let's start with what's free on the net...

1) Blogging: This isn't as simple as it sounds. You'll first need to find a niche market to target. Once you've given it proper thought, you're ready to go. You have to be a 100% sure that the topic you're gonna blog about, is what you really truly have interest in. There is no point putting your all into this blog for 6 months to realize that this isn't the topic you wanna blog about. Simply put, it'll be a waste of 6 bloody months and you'll have to start all over again. That's no fun!

Ok so once you are ready to blog, sign up with any of the free blogging companies (Wordpress, Blogger, etc...). A good blog needs to have good content. This is the one basic rule when it comes to blogging. Once you have that, you'll have traffic in no time. You will also have to blog regularly. Once or twice a week doesn't quite cut it.

A new blog generally takes a few months to get listed in the top search engines and to gain traffic. The key to making money from your blog is to have strategically placed advertisements. A blog or website that is filled with ads are a turn off for your readers. So try your very best to limit the amount of ads.

2) CafePress: As some of you know, I have a CafePress store. Anyhow, here is the link to my store (The Tattoo Boutique). I started my online boutique a year ago and it's doing pretty well. Come to think about it, I've not come up with new designs for quite awhile. But it's still selling items! That's awesome ain't it?! Now, you don't have to be a genius with Photoshop to start designing your products. You can start with fonts. Be creative and think of stuff that people will like on their mugs, t-shirts, journals, etc...I repeat, think of what people like and not what you like! There is a big difference there...

A t-shirt that says "World's Greatest Dad" or "Mommy's Little Man" might sell better than a t-shirt that has lots of shapes, colors and designs. At CafePress, you set the amount you want to earn from each item.

3) Comboutique Asia: It's similar to CafePress. The only difference is that Comboutique Asia only offers t-shirt printing for now. The plus point is that it offers FREE shipping to Singapore. The image guidelines for Comboutique Asia is a little different from CafePress too. So if you sign up for both CafePress and Comboutique Asia, be prepared to resize your images! Here's the link to comboutique.asia.

4) ClickBank: ClickBank is one of the best digital product retailers on the web. If you have a blog or website, you can sell/promote their products. You can earn as much as 75% per sale! For example, if you have a blog about food, ClickBank has tons of recipe Ebooks that you can sell! To view an example, Click Here!

5) Commission Junction: Similar to online advertising, you can place banners on your website from the thousands of merchants that have signed up with Commission Junction. When a visitor to your site clicks on the banner and ends up purchasing an item, you'll receive your commission. The cool thing about CJ is that you get to choose what suits your site better. I reckon the bigger the brand, the more pulling power it will have. Visit www.cj.com for more information.

The following may involve a small investment...

1) Ebay: Not only is Ebay an awesome place to sell stuff you don't need anymore, it is a fantastic place to sell hot items such as accessories and clothes. If you have a friend or relative that travels the world, get them to buy items from the night bazaars and markets. These places generally have the best deals in town. We're talking cheap here folks. Take Bali/Denpasar for instance. There is a large QuickSilver warehouse that you can buy products at a low price and sell them online. Not forgetting the silver, wood and artwork that is readily available from various villages...

Well folks, those are just some of the many opportunities you can find online. Be sure to read all the terms and conditions before you sign up for anything. You don't want to get ripped off now do you?? Cheers to making good money on the net!
