Gotta Jog!
I need to start jogging fast! I've got this bet with a bunch of my reservist camp mates that I'll lose my beer belly before the next in-camp training. From the looks of things, the next in-camp should be by the end of the year. I sure as hell wouldn't want to run around my camp in a red g-string!
A short while ago, I started a new diet which I must say is working to my favor. Less carbs and more fiber is the way to go. In fact, I've never eaten so much greens before. The one thing I can't do is stop drinking beer. I love beer way too much! I'm confident that even with my beer consumption, I'll still lose my belly. Now, it's time to prove the critics wrong! Heh heh!
Chinese New Year is around the corner. It’s one more day before Singapore and the Chinese around the world scramble for an awesome reunion dinner. The Chinese reunion dinner is a lot like the annual Thanksgiving dinner. The entire family gets together for a scrumptious dinner. We toss the salad at Thanksgiving dinners and for the Chinese, family and friends will gather around the table and on cue, will toss the yu sheng (raw fish salad) into the air with chopsticks while saying 吉祥话 (Jíxiáng Huà, auspicious wishes) out loud to mark the start of a prosperous new year.
Trust me when I say this, Singapore is a dead town when it comes to Chinese New Year, or my neighbourhood for that matter. The food center here in Upper Thomson Road is closed for a good seven days. Everything is closed except for the gas stations and the nearby 7-Eleven. Ann and I plan to stay home and watch cable and DVD's.
Alright, I've got to end this post. But before I do, here's a video of my best-friend Leonard. The video sees him trying to remove a stencil I made last night. I reckon I sprayed the stencil with a little too much adhesive glue. Hmm...The stencil stuck to his arm like a waxing pad. After much try, he got my stencil off together the little hair on his arm. He's now left with a visible red patch. Enjoy the video!
