The 'Save The Wild Boars' Campaign

If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you'll know by now that we have started a campaign to save the wild boars that have made my neighbourhood their home. I for one think that they are a great addition. Honestly, what's there not to like?

I don't see how they are a nuisance. I have not heard a neighbour say a single bad thing about them. The wild boars mind their own business and not once have they destroyed our property. That's a fact the media outlets in Singapore failed to pick up.

Let's take a break from what I have to say. Instead, I want you to look at drawings by two adorable little girls...

There are alternatives to simply killing the wild boars. Killing them is the easy solution. Not only is it easy, it's barbaric! It's like we are back to the old colonel days when tigers roamed free, only to be mercilessly killed by trigger happy fools.

What exactly are we teaching our children? Are we teaching them that it is OK to kill animals when they become a problem? If this is what our government wants to do, then please remove the Saving Gaia "Save My World" music video from local television. It's pointless when you don't practice what you preach!
