Run

I am slowly getting to where I've always wanted to be in life. The dream of not just being a celebrity but being damn good at what I do. Being a celebrity is the easy part. But being great at what I do? Lets just say I am working towards that.

In the last month, there's been so much I've wanted to say on my blog, Twitter and Facebook. And when I finally lost the plot over a week ago, it sent alarm bells ringing across the globe. I've received emails from places from as far away as Poland and Munich. Just the emails alone made me go "damn!! you people know who I am??!". It's humbling to say the least and I would like to thank these people for reaching out. Not just them but the many friends, family and acquaintances who have been more than kind. Big love to y'all!

There's this song that has been on my mind the last few days and I heard it again on X Factor USA earlier. Here's Snow Patrol with Run...

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Away from here

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbye
I nearly do

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

Slower slower
We don't have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads

Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

  1. I think it's a lovely song. The lyrics have so much meaning. Shoba.
