Term Two

My son Drayden started term two at Julia Gabriel Centre For Learning this past Monday. PlayNursery which he is doing now, is a bilingual English and Mandarin class from Mondays to Fridays. It's just fantastic Drayden is learning Mandarin at such a young age. After all, we are in Singapore and understanding Mandarin will go a long way in years to come.

The great thing about PlayNursery is that it encourages children to become independent. It's amazing how much Drayden has developed since he started this class. And it's only been one term!!! I was recently told that Drayden who turns three next month, has the physical development of a five year old. To the people that work with children and as parents, that's beyond excellent! As long as he's moving in the right direction, I am a happy dad.

So yeah, it's a far cry from his first two weeks of term one where he cried whenever we walked to his class at Forum The Shopping Mall. As I mentioned in this post, it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my three years as a father. The crying has stopped and it's now all smiles before and after class. Woot woot!
