My Nokia Ovi App

I’m not the kind of guy that’s big on workshops but I’m glad I attended the Nokia Ovi workshop a few weeks ago. For the longest time, I wanted to an app for my blog and this workshop thought me exactly how to do it. I’m not a tech-geek so programming and whatever else these guys do to create an app is a NO-NO for me. Thankfully, the OVI app widget is a breeze to use and I got my widget done without losing my mind!

Did I mention that the finger food served at the workshop was good too?! Yummy yum yum! I think I visited the buffet line four times that evening. Heh!

I wanted my app to be lightweight and most importantly, it shouldn’t go crazy on your data plan. I am proud that the www.NoelBoyd.com Nokia Ovi app is exactly that! It’s 0.25MB in size and it resizes post images from my blog. Meaning, users get micro-sized posts that are a match made in heaven for Nokia handsets! You won’t have to wait long for my widget to load and it’s extremely nice to your battery too! I’d say my widget is a reflection of myself. Yes, I don’t have any shame!

If you would like to download my app from the Ovi store, simply click on the banner below and you’ll be one step away from having the Tattooed Blog on your handset!

You too can create an app for your blog or website! Visit oviappwizard.com to sign-up and it'll guide you through. Seriously if I could do it, so can you! Once you're done, promote and share your app here!

  1. Hmmm... Ovi? Nokia Symbian OS is so dead now, Nokia new CEO has dumped Symbian OS for future Nokia phones in favor of Windows Phone 7.
