Journey of the Youth Olympic Flame - Central District

On the 7th of August, I will be taking part in the Journey of the Youth Olympic Flame (JYOF). The 7th of August also marks the first day of the JYOF. The journey will start at CHIJ Toa Payoh and the YOG torch will make its way around the central district before it finally reaches Nanyang Polytechnic in the evening for the Community Celebration that will be officiated by our Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

The central district torch relay will cover the following areas:
Toa Payoh, Braddell, Lornie Road, Thomson Road, Upper Thomson Road, Sin Ming Avenue, Marymount Road, Bishan and Ang Mo Kio. Click here to view a map of the massive torch relay.

Distance I'll run: 100m


Do come and support the torchbearers during the 6 days of the JYOF. The beautiful thing about the JYOF is that students of all ages and the disabled will be involved as well. They really need all the support they can get!

* Do note that each torch relay begins at 9.00pm and ends at 7.00pm with a community celebration. Admission is free and there will be lots to see and do!
