Lousy service on a friday night!

If you’re thinking of checking out the new Sunset Bay at East Coast Park, you’ll be better off spending your money elsewhere. We decided to stop by and check out the joint on Friday. Leonard drove his swanky little car and we picked up Vijay and his beloved.

To be honest, I expected lots from Sunset Bay. I’m sure many of you would agree that the old Sunset Bay at Sentosa rocked! The new one well, isn’t anything like the old one.

We got there at 11pm and expected the place to be crowded. If five is a crowd, then their business is booming! The female owner of the place came up to us and told us that they close at midnight. She explained that they’re new and with licensing issues and all, that’s the max they can open till. I can totally understand that. Licensing in Singapore can really be a bitch. Especially when you're dealing with alcohol!

We ordered our rounds of beers and before we knew it, midnight had approached. The female boss came round to our table and said “Hey Ladies”. Forgive me if I thought that was plain rude! With three guys and a girl at my table, how the hell did we become Ladies? I’m sorry but I don’t see the humour in that.

But still, we paid the bill and finished up our beers. Just when we were about to get up and leave, they played a song by Michael Buble. Wanna guess the title of the song? If you guessed Home, you’re spot on! The song goes..."Another summer day, Is come and gone away, In Paris and Rome, But I wanna go home". How bloody rude is that?!

Eurasians are always saying that we’ve got to support each other. I treat Eurasians like how I treat everybody else. If you run a decent business or service, I’ll promote you on this blog. If it’s lousy, I’ll tell everyone. Bosses and management need to set an example. From what I saw, Sunset Bay deserved to be empty on a Friday night!

From slamming one nightlife joint, I’m gonna promote another. If you live in the north, you’ll love this place. It’s called Green Valley Café and they’re located at No.1 Bah Soon Pah Road. It’s right next to Khatib Camp. If you’re driving down from Khatib Camp towards Sembawang Airbase, it’s the first left turn after Khatib Camp.

The outdoor area is fully covered so you don’t have to worry if it rains. They have a decent food menu and a jug of beer is at $20. The music is alright and it’s a cool place to chill out, drink and talk to friends. There’s a huge outdoor projector screen too. If you wanna watch live soccer matches and play pool, this is the place you wanna go to.

Here are some pictures of Green Valley Café…

Alright, I’m gonna finish off this post. The big 4 are playing against each other tonight. My prediction is Liverpool will win 2-1 and Aresenal will beat Chelsea 3-1. Enjoy your Sunday!

  1. Did you see the games? Liverpool were unlucky I think!

  2. Hi Kevin, I watched the game. I reckon I should stop watching Liverpool matches. Each time I do, the Reds lose a match.

If only Liverpool took the chances they had against Man U. Edwin van der Sar wasn't at his best in the 1st half and that was the best time for the Reds to score.

Hmm, which team do you support?
